Robinson. He later settled in Dover Plains, New York, then in Sharon, CT. Newell exhibited at the National Academy from 1897 on, at the Boston Art Club, the PAFA, the Lotos Club, the Corcoran, the Art Institute of Chicago, and many more, winning numerous prizes and awards. His work is represented in many museums including the National Gallery, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Butler Museum.  More recently, Newell is featured in Robert Austin's book, “Artists of the Litchfield Hills.”  </I></div> </td> </tr></table></body>
