Charming impressionistic works by a fine New Jersey artist.  Loven was born in Jersey City and studied with Frank Vincent DuMond, Birge Harrison, and John F. Carlson.  He was elected a member of the Salmagundi Club in 1916 and was a regular exhibitor from 1917 - 1931.  He also exhibited at the National Academy of Design.  His work hangs in the Hoboken Public Library.
